NoseSwap ("we", "us", "the app") is a perfume-swapping app that lets people trade fragrances they no longer use. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By creating an account you agree to this policy.
NoseSwap is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
1. Who is responsible for your data

2. Data we collect

We do not collect payment information — NoseSwap involves no money. We do not collect contacts, browsing history, or health data.
3. How we use your data
- To operate core features: profiles, listings, swiping, matching, chat and swap completion.
- To prioritise nearby perfumes using the city/country you provide.
- To send push notifications for new matches and messages.
- To keep the service safe — handling reports of abusive users or inappropriate content.
- To diagnose crashes and improve performance.
4. What other users can see
Your display name, profile photo, listing photos and details, and your city/country are visible to other NoseSwap users so they can decide whether to swap with you. Your chat messages are visible only to the matched user you are chatting with. Your email address is never shown to other users.
5. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics) as our service provider to host the app and process data on our behalf. Firebase processes data under Google's terms; see Firebase's privacy information. We may disclose data if required by law.
6. Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to stored data is restricted by per-collection security rules. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account in the app, which soft-deletes your listings, dissolves your matches and anonymises your chat history. You can also request deletion via our web form at nose-swap.web.app/delete or by emailing mrloghmani92@gmail.com.
8. Children
NoseSwap is not directed at children. The app is restricted to users aged 18 and over, and a confirmation gate is shown at sign-up. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we will delete it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email mrloghmani92@gmail.com.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notified in the app.
